Jaw clutch for stepper motor and its features

Jaw mechanical power transmission clutches are torsionally flexible clutches that feature two fists with teeth that transmit torque through contact with an intermediate elastic gear assembly. The jaw coupling is intended for both horizontal and vertical connections of two shafts.

The jaw coupling concept ensures reliable, smooth power transmission without torsional oscillations / vibrations and thus protects the connected machines. Due to the complete adaptability and ductility of the elastomer ring, it compensates for parallel and angular movements and absorbs the longitudinal movement of the shaft.

This jaw coupling can withstand high loads, as the elastic elements are subjected to compression and not bending moments of force.
