Introduction
17HS5425 is a two-phase Nema 17 step motor 48Ncm 2.5A, which has a step angle of 1.8° (200 steps / revolution). Each phase draws 2.5 A at 3.1 V, which enables a holding torque of 48 Ncm. The motor has four color-coded wires: black and green represent one coil; red and blue represent the other. 17HS5425 the stepper motor can be controlled by a pair of matching H-bridges (one for each coil), but we recommend using a bipolar stepper motor driver.
How to connect 17HS5425 Nema 17 stepper motor with driver?
As shown in the wiring diagram, there are four wires of different colors viz. red, green, black and blue. These wires are connected to two different coils. Red and blue are connected to one coil and black and green to another. To rotate the motor, the coils are energized in a logical sequence.
