Description
Introduction
The 23HS5420 is a two-phase Nema 23 stepper motor 0.9Nm 2.0A that has a step angle of 1.8° (200 steps/rev). Each phase draws 2.0 A at 2.6V, which enables a holding torque of 0.9 Nm. The motor has 4 color-coded wires: black and green represent one coil, and red and blue represent the other. We use the 23HS5420 stepper motor to control it stepper motor driver.
How to connect 23HS5420 Nema 23 step motor 0.9Nm with a driver?
Stepper motors require a special driver circuit called an H bridge. 23HS5420 Nema 23 stepper motor is compatible with TB6600 driver and to the DM542 driver. We recommend it 24 V switching power supply or 36 V switching power supply.
As shown in the stepper motor wiring diagram, there are four wires of different colors viz. black, green, red and blue. These wires are connected to two different coils. Red and blue are connected to one coil and black and green to another. To rotate the motor, the coils are energized in a logical sequence.
